One Project
Eleana Zill, a student at the Monarch Academy in Glen Burnie, MD presented an anti-bullying program, called “The One Project”. Eleana shared with the entire middle school the types of bullying and how it impacts an individuals self esteem. Anti-bullying Grants
The Foundation awarded grants to both Central Middle School and to Monarch Academy to support their anti-bullying efforts. We are excited to be a partner in their efforts to positively impact the youths they serve. First Anti-Bullying thru the Arts Contest 2013
We completed our first “Anti-Bullying through the Arts” poster contest with the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. It was an opportunity for students to communicate to their peers something about bullying that is important to them, through their artwork. Thanks to everyone who participated in this contest. There were so many heartfelt, personal expressions of the devastating impact that bullying can have on someone. We had four winners, and they were each given a cash award.
Bullying Prevention Grants
The Foundation awarded grants to both the Severn River Middle School and Arnold Elementary School to support their bullying prevention programs. We are excited about their respective programs, Girl Talk and Small Group Bullying Prevention, and their efforts to combat bullying and help to provide an environment that allows each student the opportunity to reach his or her own full potential.
