First OCF Scholarship Recipient 2012
The Foundation is pleased to announce that Allyson Markusson, daughter of Marie and Dean Markusson has been awarded the first OCF scholarship award. Ally graduated from Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA this past June. She will be pursuing her college degree at Saint Josephs University, majoring in psychology.
The Foundation was moved by how others described her. Her diligence, kindness, enthusiasm, being a leader among her peers, her contagious smile and above all her desire to be a supportive friend-all qualities that Olivia held dear. Ally graduated with the distinction and title of Cum laude, was a member of the National Honor Society as well as a member of the international Thespian Society and Ally holds a Level 1 Sailing Instructor Certification.
The OCF is excited for Allyson and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.
