Capitol Gazette Shooting
We mourn and grieve this morning with the families of Rob Hiassen, Gerald Fischman, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith, and Wendi Winters, who's lives were taken yesterday by the senseless act of a madman. Our Foundation and family had the pleasure of getting to know Wendi through our numerous interviews as she chronicled our work in the community as well as cared to learn all about Olivia after her death. Wendi was a wonderful advocate for our community, giving words to stories that seldom elsewhere would be given any. Wendi was a great storyteller. It didn't matter the subject matter, Wendi would find a way to write it so that you were engaged from the first sentence until the end. She wil be missed but not forgotten.
